Bread with love
PiOiK (pee-oyk) means ‘the bread’ in Coptic Egyptian - an ancient language spoken sometime after Hieroglyphics.
PiOiK Bakery is a little family-run bakery tucked into a heritage terrace house in Sydney’s Pyrmont, where we make a small selection of bread and pastries from scratch, by hand, using organic, market-fresh seasonal ingredients and no preservatives.

Our owner and head baker, Shady Wasef is a former fine dining chef who combines his passion for pastry with techniques and flavours from his Egyptian homeland to create incredibly delicious loaves, twists and scrolls fine enough to feature on the menus at some of Sydney's best restaurants and cafes.
